THE ART OF SCIENCE
Drew Provan is a practising doctor in London. Originally from Glasgow, he studied molecular biology and from there, went on to qualify in medicine. After various junior medical posts he undertook research at Harvard Medical School. He now works as a haematologist in a London teaching hospital.
He has been involved in graphic design and medical illustration for a number of years. He has also written and typeset around 50 books on medicine and computing.
Using his scientific and medical knowledge he has created art based on molecules used in clinical medicine and for recreational purposes. Starting with the basic molecule, he has redesigned these bringing a pop art feel to the structures, along with bright colours which make the molecular structures visually appealing.
All the images are available in multiple colour combinations, as giclée prints, metal prints, Apple Watch bands, coasters and other media.
